Zit can be described as a common form of skin inflammation. They usually develop on the areas like cheek, chin, lip, neck, chest, shoulder, etc. When it first appears, people often get confused whether it is a zit on lip or cold sore as they look very similar and is located around the mouth area. It can be differentiated by the fact that there will be a lot of itching and tingling on the area before the eruption of the cold sores. Moreover, after a few days, a zit will heal up on its own whereas, cold sores tend to ooze, scab, and blister. People of any age group can get this form of acne, however, young people who are in the age group of 12 to 24 are more prone to it.
The exact cause behind this kind of skin disorder is not known but there are certain factors that can trigger this condition. This often worsens the condition because the bacteria spreads to the surrounding areas and promotes further outbreak of the zits. It may even get infected as our hands have so many germs and bacteria and which may lead to scarring the lip.

Ice: Application of ice on the affected area is the simplest form of treatment for this problem. It will have a soothing effect on the painful zits. With regular application, the redness and the inflammation will go down in no time.

Oral intake of garlic helps in purification of the blood stream and thus, keeps outbreak of this condition at bay. Take three cloves of garlic once everyday for a month for this purpose.
Mint Juice: This can heal up the acne when used regularly. Prepare a thick paste by mixing mint juice and turmeric. Then, wash the face with a mild soap and water. Now, apply the paste on the affected area before retiring for the day. Next morning wash off with cold water.

Remove all the food particles from it by gently rubbing a wet tissue. Do not even apply pressure on the region around the lip as it can spread the bacteria to the other pores.
